Megan started CrossFit in 2008 after she could no longer play Soccer or Boxing competitively due to multiple concussions (through soccer). She is extremely competitive and loves to stay in shape and exercise and CrossFit was the perfect outlet for her.
Crossfit and Life: "CrossFit has completely changed my life, for the better. It has not only given me confidence at work and life in general, but it has also made me comfortable with my own body. I no longer try to hide my butt and thighs because they are "too big", but embrace the thunder and am proud of it! Also, since I have moved a couple times in the past few years, it is a great way to make life long friends."
Philosophy on Training and on Life: "Not every day is going to be great, in training, at work and in general, but just keep going and take one day at a time and everything will work itself out."
Short/Long Term Goals: "Me and my team are aiming to again qualify for regionals in the North Central region and for the 2015 CrossFit Games; except, this year, we plan to podium! I will be finishing my residency in July 2015, will continue to train and be as healthy and physically fit as I can. CrossFit specific, I want to get my clean and jerk into the 200s, deadlift into the 300s and be able to run a 5km sub 20 minutes."
