Alex started CrossFit in 2012. His dad, Steve Anderson, won the games in the masters division (55-59) in 2011. He was the first in the family to start doing CrossFit, and the rest of the family followed suite. Alex competed on a team at the Central East regionals in 2012 and 2013. In 2014 he quit his day job to coach and train full time in order to devote all his time to being an individual competitor.
"My first priority in life is to Glorify God in all that I do; Yes, I often fall short of this aspiration, but God is gracious and forgiving! My second priority is my family; family is everything to me."
